Mission Accomplished: New Fundraising Record for ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation
This is a proud day for the entire ODG Family. Two years ago, we set a lofty goal of raising $1,000,000 at the ASK Above and Beyond Gala. We’re thrilled to announce that on Saturday night we exceeded our goal and raised over $1.4 million to support families and children battling cancer!
Amy Godkin, ASK’s Executive Director, sent us a lovely note after the gala that captures the excitement and pride we all feel about reaching this milestone:
“We are blown away by the support of the Old Dominion Group! Thank you for always going above and beyond for our ASK kids. The success of the gala will have a lasting impact on our community and allow us to serve more families than ever before.”Amy Godkin, Executive Director ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation
This is a cause near and dear to to the ODG family. And while it was our honor sponsor this amazing event, we support ASK year-round thanks in part to the generosity of our employees, many of whom opt to make an automatic donation to ASK each week, which ODG is proud to match.
We’ve included some photos from Saturday’s event. Jeff Davoud, along with his father, Roddy, and brother, Chris, were in attendance along with Construction Manager, Scott Armstrong. Scott, along with his wife, Leslie, has been instrumental in supporting ASK’s mission over the years. All evening we watched closely as the total approached – and then exceed – the one-million-dollar mark. It was truly a memorable night.
We are proud to support the vital role ASK plays in our community and look forward to going even bigger next year!
